Selling my GP, what you guys think?

Hey guys, its time for my familys little GP to be traded in. We have had to many problems and its cost a lot since we got the car(It used to be a rental car so must have been poorly maintained). So now we are trading it in to carmax for a SUV. That another reason why we are trading it in is because we need more space. So we saw this cool 2006 GMC yukon denali with the 6.0 which is cool but we could not get that one since of our credit. Instead tomorrow we will be getting a Chrysler Aspen 4d Sport Utility, i think its the 4.7 and was hoping for the 5.7 cause its faster. Anyone here knows how fast is the 4.7?

Any way we got a apprasel for 3k for our car (has 140k miles and kept in good conditon 07 GP base) and my bro just wants to leave the Split fogs and HIDs on there. Do you guys think we should leave it on or keep em? So ya its time for it to go and later on i hope to get the GTP sooner or later. What do you guys think of the cars apprasel and how good of a SUV is the Chrysler Aspen 4.7?

Also i can still be part of the GP forum without a GP right? LOL Also i saw this cool Grand prix GXP in the lot and it looks sick and sexy and it said limited edition on it is there a such thing as a limited? Also if i got the time ill take it for a quick test drive hehe.

Oh ya and we are only getting like 540$ from that 3k cause we still have 2500 to pay off still, but ya hows good is the Aspen it has i think 55k miles on it and is a 2007.
 


you can probably sell your car for more than 3k on your own. being an 07 you might even get 3.5k or even 4k for it. depends.
for about 2.5 to 3k you can probably get a 97-03 with more miles and a gtp.
i personally wouldnt get a newer chrysler because of all the **** i hear about them from well, everybody. i hear good and bad, more bad things honestly.
 
Wait. Sell car private listing like clist and make actual money for it. Honestly, you can probably get 4-5k easy on the street just because it's an 07.

You're screwing yourself over by only taking 3k for it.
Another month won't kill you.
 
it's a dodge nuff said....I would do like every1 else says and sale it privately...3k come on i can sale the gp when i'm done with it for 3k and it's a 2000
 
Ya i was thinking that but the car does have lots of problems such as, multiple leaks ( oil, PS, trans ) needs new rotors and brakes, has a few dents and the intior has peeling of the dash and the gear box lights dont work. The radio light half of it does not work, the check engine light is on for a secondary air injection and something for the throttle. The multifunction switch is messed up and the high beam stays on, needs a alignment and a few more thinks that i may have missed. Bottom line Car max will take it for that much and is a trade to the Aspen and the new one looks good and well ill see what happens tomorrow and just hope things go well.

Not only that my folks dont want to waste time on selling it because the need for a SUV and the car getting worse and worse. If i has the tiem and if it was my choice i would sell it my self, but again ya we will see tomorrow. BTW so is the aspen ok, i know its like the same as the durango i can see the look a like and is chrysler
 


They are okay.

Do some research on em and I'm sure you'll find common issues and such about them.

I just dont care for the poor mpgs they give you.

Similar SUV's can be just as big and be better on gas.

4.7 is junk -- Forget it and RUN
 
3 Grand for an '07? I got my '04 GT for 5. I mean, it has about 20,000 miles less, but yours is 3 years newer. You'd be screwing yourself by taking 3 grand.
 


Thanks for all your guys answers but it was not my choice but we sold it anyways and traded for the chrysler aspen. Its a 2007 Aspen which is same to the durango, and its a pretty good SUV. RWD V8, has a EVIC with Temp and compass and tells me MPG and much till i run out and there is a home intellegent button which i programmed to open the gate to my house. It is slower than the GP which i hate but oh well my family needed a SUV and this thing is great and has lots of good stuff and we will soon be doing HIDs to it.

BTW thanks for all you guys have done when we still had GP and we have been through a lot with the GP, later on i hope to get enough monet to get my self another GP for myself and hope to get the GTP COMP. Ill be joining a Chrysler Forum so i can know more about ur aspen but still be part of the GP forum and hope to later get a GP or even the G8 if the price is right. Again thanks everyone for the help and this forum has been realy great too.

Any one know of who to talk to like say if i want to give a big compliment to the forum?
