Got this as a rental for a few days. 365hp/420ftlb twin turbo 3.5l V6. I must say, I enjoy it quite well, and if I wanted a truck I'd get one with this engine. I'm not too fond of the F150 styling except for the Raptors, but the interior is pretty nice and I love the engine.

If they sold a stripped down Taurus SHO, I'd be so over that. It sucks that no one really sells a bare-bones performance car anymore. Even the new Regal GSX cannot be had without all the luxury crap. Give me a base model with the performance engine.

well id want that truck for just the engine, and the raptor just for the looks. lol. I'd just use it to tow cars and drive in the snow. Let us know what kind of mileage you get in that thing.

LOL @ 89K

You could buy a base camaro for that much, weight strip it, buy whatever engine/trans combo you like for it and still have left over for another one.

Something like this, but street legal and closer to the base camaro price.

Go drag racing with the Chevy COPO Camaro | Digital Trends

LOL @ Chevy copying the Cobra Jet. I don't even ask for that much, but seriously their greed is what keeps them from offering the other engines as $1-2k options on an otherwise stock package. Good luck trying to build a standard cab, short bed truck with a big engine as well. Even the Raptor doesn't get a standard cab, only extended.

I guess I'm still thinking canadian pricing where they're 40 each.

You'd have enough for a blower and some new tires for one car after purchasing two.

Took it back this morning and got my Mustang back. Mileage was atrocious, but then I wasn't being easy on it. In constant stop and go driving, I saw a low of 14mpg. When I was cruising on the highway it got it's reported 22mpg, might be able to get upwards 24-26mpg if you lived in an area with flat terrain.

I loved the truck, but I would not want it for a daily driver at all. If I owned one, it might encourage me to buy a boat and use it for the lake. Otherwise, it would do random and infrequent hauling duties. No doubt it would be money wasted for me sitting in the driveway 10 months out of the year.
