Wondering best place to tap into for 12v switched power.

Heres the deal. Im looking for a place to run power from the 12v (switched) power to 3 switches to turn on and off Halo rings and LED strips. I thought about cutting the wire in from the ignition but dont know if thats possible or if that would mess something up in the rest of the electrical system. Id like to set it up with the switched power because id like to be able to leave the switches on and shut off the car so they would shut off and not kill my battery.

I thought about it but I want to be able to turn them on and shut them off at my own will and it wont pay to have them on at night either.

I had never heard of a power drop and after checkin out this site i think ill probly do this.

Looks like a good idea. You think it will have enough power coming through to run 4 halo rings and 2 led strips?

I run an LED toggle switch and (4) 12" LEDs.
Worse you can do is blow the fuse, but IDK.
