i drove around for a week with no carpet, all mad max style, its sucks! you hear every last drop of road noise.
for a daily driver, put the rug back in.


or wait and make your own judgement call about it.

It will stop the same except your tires will lock up and you will slide.. if you slam the brakes that is.

no abs means the all 4 wheels can and will lock up when you nail the brakes. aka you had better be a good driver in bad weather or you'll hit something.

ok so fine if I put the damn airbag back in will ya stop hounding me bout it? n maybe help out a newbie, because I would really love to kno what other gp owners that gutted their grand prix did so I have a wider view on it

It should stop the same unless you are sliding, in which case you will rear end someone and die. Seriously a couple lbs is not worth it. We still dont understand why you are trying to do this with an SE.

Unless its a full out race car that won't be driven daily, it's not worth it. oh and still, an SE? wtf are you even doing to it?

not really, but you will see for yourself.

and the floors not flat and level either with out the rug, so your feet may or may not feel right working the pedals. oh and the floor will be 3 inches lower when the rug is out.

im gonna be pulling the 3.1 and dropping a 3.8 S/C in it here in a couple weeks, and im planning on racing it on the weekends.

I only added wut 5 or maybe 6 pounds? and how is it an epic fail? at one point of time in ur life im pretty sure you didn't kno all that you kno now, and im sure you probably had an epic fail too.

OK here's another stupid question, I have Hood pins that's not welded in. their only bolted in, is it a bad idea to take the factory Hood clip that holds the Hood down off and just use the bolted in hood pins? or will it rip through my hood without the factory clap?

In all seriousness... we are trying to keep you from wasting your time doing this to a DD car. MOST of us have been around this platform for years now and know what works and what doesnt. A lot of times noobs come in here and ask a bunch of questions and try to get info on stuff that either A. does nothing for our platform or B. actually hurts performance and just because it worked on their "buddies X" (X=civic,mustang,etc) they think it works here. The reason this is a fail is that you are wanting to do something that experienced people are telling you is unwise and STILL wanting to do it. If you truly come seeking advice and an education then be sure to listen when its being givin to you... I have been around this platform since I was able to drive and still dont know half the stuff there is to know about these cars. There are guys on here (matt, billboost,reptile,bio,etc) that can make me look retarded with the amount of stuff they know...

Moral of the rant.... If alot of people are telling you youre doing something wrong or a bad idea/route on a platform in which you are unfamiliar....LISTEN TO THEM....

Hope this helped you think about your mod priorities a little more carefully...

Hood pins? Why? I've only seen a handful of cars that look good with hood pins a grand prix isn't one of them

thanks Jarrod and I am listening im just throughing out my ideas to see if they are a waste of my time or not and as soon as I swap in the 3.8 s/c its not goin to be my DD because I have a '96 Jimmy also and ill only use my gp for racing and maybe use it when im not going to have any passengers is why im not worried about much but for now I still need the other seats other than the drivers seat cuz my Jimmy ain't on the road yet cuz I need to fix the exhaust

and also when im done using my gp as a DD im taking the back seat out and putting in a roll cage in and welding the back doors shut and leaving the front passengers seat until I go to race it and take it out
