OK if you don't already know from a few of my previous posts, I own a '02 gp se and now im doin weight reduction to it. I already took out the carpet, and all of the plastic interior panels around the door jambs and by the front and rear windows. there is no sound deadening in the rear, im taking the sound deadening out of the front tomorrow. and im leaving all the seats in for now, but my question is: have I missed anything at all? the A/C is staying and so is the power steering, but could I take out my Hood latch? I have Hood pins already installed on my car, and can I also take out that black stuff behind the bumpers? oh and I did an airbag delete on the drivers side, should I do that to the other side as well? any ideas will be taken into consideration

rear speakers, rear deck sound deadening, trunk carpet, all of the thick tar pieces they put on for anti-rattle. all the styrofoam in the doors, the sound deadening you can see in the front fender from inside the door, abs, put a cone right on the TB get rid of the airbox, the cowl rubber strip between the hood and the engine bay. engine lift brackets.

Airbag delete? WTF no. take out everything in the trunk, you can get an aluminum subframe, windshield washer reservoir ect.

thanks for the help, got any more good ideas? and yes an airbag delete lol I kno its crazy but ill chance it lol. plus I have something wrong with my spine so if I get hit with an airbag it will paralyze me :( and where is all the thick tar anti rattle stuff at? and its my DD but I want to make it race legal because I also race it but I want it to be lighter and have enough room for a roll cage. and im looking for both MPG and speed

You must not have any insurance on this car.

Because once the company you're with finds out, they'll drop your ass.

Hope to god you ain't ever in a wreck, because they sure as sh1t won't cover you.

and what do you mean put a cone on the TB? I don't kno what that is, and how does the car stop if I take the ABS off?

yes I race it, it has some mods. and yes I have insurance, no they don't kno bout the airbag delete. and no im not gonna take the bumpers off, but what about that black foam behind them?

The bumper supports, big metal bars. Basically if you crash this car without bumper supports AND airbags, you're dead. Good luck. I'll be watching the news.

I dont have the foam from the bumpers but I do have both air bags still and i put the door panels back in and center councel.
Basically no trunk back seat no carpet no headliner no bumper supports no swaybars no digonal bars. Still have AC and audio........

Take the cupholders center councel and door panels and audio out of your car and see how long you DD it just sayin.

Edit should have damn alum subframe too but the one I got was bent!

im not sorry that im just starting working under the Hood n what not, I do body repairs and that was about it until about 6 months ago so I don't really kno much about engines. and I have state farm lmao, not Allstate lol.

ANY insurance company will drop you the second they find out you removed the airbags... You are not seeing what we are saying here.. you're going to die.

and what I ment by "how does the car stop" was how well does it stop, as in stopping power. will it stop the same as it does now or wut?
