On an 04 gtp im doing a head gasket... 1st question from what i have read both head gasket arrows are to be towards the pulley side of motor?.... And second is the torque sequence they ask for 37ft lbs then a 120 degree from the 37ft lb point? Sorry just dont wanna screw up a fresh rebuild thanks fellers.

yes both arrows should point towards the pulleys (front of the engine) not sure about the torque specs but are you using new head bolts? the old ones are one time use only

Yes new head bolts what id did is torque to 37 ft lbs according to the sequence on this site.... Then if im understanding correctly from the 37 ft lb mark turn 120 degree from that point... I just need a little go ahead from anyone whos done these the right way... But good call though

Make sure to put molly lube on the bolt threads and the underside of the bolt head...this is very important. Get them all tight (about 10 ft-lb) and go in sequence to 37 ft-lb. Use an angle gauge and go in sequence to get the 120 degrees.

Maybe it was the S2 or that I had a 97 at the time. I recall the inner 4 bolts getting some additional torque. Anyone?

No i didnt use any moly lube.... Is this a problem? I torqued to 37 but never did a 120 degree turn yet should i take them out?
