• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

You know what really grinds my gears?

When people post pictures of their high school diploma on facebook like it was the hardest thing they had to do.

And most of the people are the idiots that skipped class everyday. And then post the picture saying "this is to all the people that thought I couldn't do it".

I swear people are so oblivious.. I agree that graduating high school is an accomplishment, but if you honestly thought it was hard then you are oblivious to what lies ahead of you.

End rant/

Im a senior this year, and yeah they totally hold your hand through school. I have been employed since I was 14, and I find work so much harder than school. But I guess having a job does bet you some responsibility and independence.

The worst thing about high school was the constant whining of students... I went to what I would consider a rich school... One kid was driving a new 944... The rest were all pretty nice cars in big houses and all that... I had my 2 jobs all in high school to help pay the bills at my house because we had what some might consider little money... I remember one day just driving from work to school because the night was over before I knew it, and as I settled into my book bag pillow you see, some girl broke down crying... Chivalry being what it is I almost got up, but then I heard why... She said, while balling mind you, that her parents won't pay the insurance on her bmw any more and she either has to get a job or a honda... Can you imagine?? Having to work for a tenth of whats given to you? That diploma is a purple heart sir, and should be waved with pride...

I'm 16 years old and have been working on a farm, along with some off-season jobs, since I was a freshman. I'll be going into my Junior year now, and every day I'm waiting for that bell to ring at 3:15 (given, it's currently summer break) to leave that hole and get to work. I love my job, and school isn't exactly my favorite place in the world to be. I'm not implying that it's hard, it's actually pretty easy. Like I said, I just love doing what I do at work every day. But I think everybody's situation is different..I don't think any two kids have the same high school experience. Some kids might actually like high school, but it's the people there who they can't deal with. Then again, those people never go away. They simply change their title from 'classmate' to 'co-worker'.
