The slip yoke splines may need to be cleaned/lubricated or replaced. This is just a suggestion, not a diagnosis. I encourage you to consult with a certified technician for an official diagnosis.

Please keep us posted.

what slip yokes are you referring to? this is a fwd car.

rwd cars have slip yokes on the rear and front drive shafts, if a 4x4. when they get dry its referred to as brake squawk, its a GM tsa.

Easy way to tell if it's the master vacuum is pump the breaks hard while going slow.

I request a better description of what is actually happening.

"jerks after stop"

Not very informative.

Although not super descriptive... I think I understand what is being said. I want to say that's the first releasing or second dropping to first.

Bill

Wouldn't that just cause the engine to bog a little?..a late second to first down shift?

I don't think so.. Maybe a sticky soleniod or check ball.. I'd have to read up on that link I posted to the trans/info links thread by me yesterday. BTW.. Seriously good info there.

the only thing i can think of is a solenoid or something to do with the line pressue not enough?

I think Ive got the same issue with my daily driver. I suspect something physical like an axle with my clunking.
