2006 GXP issue with Low Brake Fluid Sensor light

I have a 2006 Pontiac GP GXP. I took it on a road trip as I do not drive it that often, I then parked the car and came back to it the next day and the low brake fluid light came on. I looked and the master was full. I then a few weeks later changed the sensor and the light is still on and the DIC is still displaying low brake fluid. I then unplugged the sensor and the light and DIC notification went away. I would like to actually fix the issue instead of just having it unplugged. Any ideas?

any chance your E brake is one click on? that would turn on the BRAKE light.

also if your pads are real low it could just be time for new brakes.

Hasbrouck Heights, that has to be jersey. im over right next door in Hackensack.

same light in my car. i drive a regal, what do i know. lol

and he said he changed the sensor already.

and low pads have made the low fluid light come on for others, who may or may not have been low on fluid, you know how that works. we are not there to look at it. lol

Damn Regal owners, like you and Bill. LOL

I think '04 and up are a little different electronically.

well when data rate use anywhere from 0-5volts a little corrosion or anything throws things off. i had brake light and all that come on because the one wire was shorting and not coming on in time.

04-08 Do use the same light for parking brake or low brake fluid. You if the parking brake is down one click you would also get dinging and parking brake on showing on the dic. I would check for corrosion as well in the wires in addition to checking brake fluid and brake pads as well. IVe seen a small fluid leak on other cars set this light off as well.

If you put your ebrake on does the DIC say "Low brake fluid"?
I would be very surprised... but who knows?

Yes it is near you, the E brake is not on and the pads are about 50%. I understand about the corrosion but I am not sure where to look all the plugs and wires are clean with no scuffing. I did read somewhere that a "switch" might be bad but not sure what Switch

They're probably referring to the brake fluid level switch you already replaced. It's got to be wiring.
