• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I have a buddy that has a 600whp 92 prelude. When he takes me out I cry tears of joy and **** my pants at the same time. He also has a 2006 GTO and a 1992 Pontiac sunbird with a built motor that will one day have its turbo installed. Its the weight to power ratio that makes that car a rocket.

God forbid Douchflake Version 2.0 figures that out. Doesnt have to be rwd to be fast, doesnt have to be a GM or have to be an american car for all that matters.

Only question that really matters is how much money do you have?

And how much money is wrapped up in it?

Almost 8k I think. Next time I am over his house ill take a few pictures. He's got a few videos on YouTube where he is running 9-10 pounds which is where it normally is. When he runs it, its around 22psi when I get near a computer I'll post them.

Sounds like a good Hunduh, I am looking forward to the vids.

Hotrod mag did a budget build 5.3 that engine dyno'd 594hp for $3252 including the cost of the motor.

594HP 5.3L Gen III Small Block for $3,252 - Hot Rod Magazine

Faster, Cheaper and Probably more reliable (no offense, Iron block 5.3s are hard to break with boost).

Not to mention rear wheel drive doesn't have the traction issues FWD does, because of weight transfer.

I'm not a hater, if a Honda is done right, like it sounds like your friends is, I will like it, but there are less expensive ways to make the same amount of power. In the end it's about budget if you want a solid build no matter what you're building.

Honestly it is cheaper to mod an "american" car now-a-days. I see this as the demand for aftermarket import parts being higher giving them the ability to jack the prices up. For example headers for a 3.8 in 2004 $600+ I got my headers for $250 shipped, might not be the best example. I LOVE LS engines. I plan on sticking the LS1 or LS2 in my El Camino when I dig it out of my grand pops garage that provided link makes me want to speed up the process :th_mischievious:

And still at the end of the day his honda is a toy, its not a ***** magnet its just a go really fast, really fast car he knows it. His biggest fear with owning that car is it getting stolen as that seems to be an issue around here.
his GTO and Sunbird are the babies

Please tell me this isn't the same car. I know it states 6psi, which is nothing and explains why the 60-100 took 7+ seconds... I expect to see a REAL video of this "600hp 22psi turbo monster"... or I'm raising the flag and calling Shenanigans.

Haha call what you want. All I know is that it has a fully built H22, and a Built trans, Massive IC. Hes only gone full 22psi 2 or three times. So much money invested in it he is afraid of blowing it up. But around 6-10 where it normally is he will beat on it. I dont get it. It's parked atm he bent a wheel, lower control arm, and traction bar running into a curb. Yay understeer! His GTO and my GP

Yeah, that's slower than a bucket of turds.

I'm sure it would move out on nearly four times that boost level.

My Thrasher/3.0" car pulled harder and faster up top then that little wind up toy.

Sounds like bad driver mod.

HAHAH I said that to him and he got so pissed off. He was litterately red with anger, I was in the car I told him to slow the **** down and he didn't listen, He had just got done with a fight with his girlfriend at the time so I believe he was rage driving.

Lets not forget that intake pressure is directly proportional to the ability of the engine to flow.

Think about camshaft lobe separation, head design, valves, exhaust etc.

These all affect intake pressure on any forced induction motor.

There are plenty of TC'ed 4 bangers making big HP with low intake pressure...same for bigger engines.
