The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Re: Broken HUD Thread. (Anyone who has a broken HUD post here)
when i bought my 05 the dealer said only issue was hud and reinburst me for my troubles, haha. mine ended up having the arm snapped in half. i took it out made sure i had it straight before i jb welded it. still doing great. and good luck man
Re: Broken HUD Thread. (Anyone who has a broken HUD post here)
Can you supply some pictures of the broken arm? I've heard many of these and fixed a few where the spring pulled through. Most of the time it's an easy fix that requires time and effort, not a new unit.
Re: Broken HUD Thread. (Anyone who has a broken HUD post here)
mines broken....has been since i owned it...just a few short weeks...but i hit a set of railroad tracks and it came on and worked great for a few hours then sadly dimmed out and shut off...any ideas? im sure im going to have to pull the dash to be able to fix anything so if you have a dash removal instrusctions link avbl please copy and post...been looking for a few hours now
Re: Broken HUD Thread. (Anyone who has a broken HUD post here)
It is very common. However it's so easy to fix that most don't make much of a deal about it. It happens to nearly all of them and within an hour it's fixed. You appear to be making assumptions based on the lack of posting to your thread.
I fixed two 04+ in the six months. Both times it was quick and easy to fix them.

Jory,
Any chance you remember the link you found for pulling and fixing your HUD unit? I've been digging and I remember seeing something a couple of months ago but now that I have the time I can't find the link.
Trying to fix one of the many issues cropping up on my 06 GXP. Seems the previous owner didn't take quite as good care of it as it originally seemed when I looked it over.
