A Stray cat ripped open my screen and welcomed himself into my home

It was a nice 1AM wake up call

I run down stairs with my .45and see my cats and this stray that hangs out around my house all the time going at it... in my kitchen. as soon is it sees me it bolts out the window. My cats are fixed and my girlfriends cat is in heat for the first time so I think that attracted the stray. From what I can guess is it tried going after my girls cat and my two tried protecting her cat. I'm not going to throw it in a pond if caught... my girlfriend would never speak to me again, and I called the ASPCA and they are aware now.

when i was a kid we got woke up by the sounds of some one trying to break in, my father found a cat standing on its back legs and pounding on the sliding door with it front legs, like a person wanting in. it stood 3 feet tall. our cat was in heat, and had her ass to the window for this big cat to long for.

dont toss it in a lake in a cage thats kinda inhumane. call the town they should take care of it the right way.

yeah definately no cage, that'll get you in more trouble than its worth
if you dont want it around call city or bb gun sometimes gives it a nice scare.
+1 though for your cats protecting your girls cat, thats pretty cool

My cats both stand up on their hind quarters often. It's like they think they are human, really cool. They also paw at the slider often, as if they think that bird will come closer and happen to arrive on the right side of the glass.

i miss the look my dog had sitting at the slider hoping the bird would stay put when i opened up the door for him to run out to catch them.

the drool and shaking was hilarious.

pets and glass sliding doors are a win win lol

You could look into pet screens. They are a bit thicker and wont even rip when my mastiff runs full speed into it.

hahah I can picture a mastiff trying to run through a screen and taking the window frame with it.
Thanks for the tip Ill look into it this weekend.

i had that pet screen for my rear sliding door, my dog used run into it full speed and just drop the frame to the ground and keep on walking lol he knew what he was doing i know it. granted the screen never ripped. its thick.
