Small oil leak, need help

He guys.

I am relatively clueless, so go easy on me.

I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT 3.8. I have a small oil leak, that seems to be originated somewhere just slightly behind the oil filter (towards the middle of the engine)...no more than 4 inches beyond. I'm seeing a few tubes, maybe some wiring just behind there, I think it's coming from a tube. Could anybody tell me what I am looking at!?!

thanks in advance.

I would try cleaning the whole bottom of the engine and then drive it again to make the oil start to seep again, then jack it up and look under it and see exactly where its coming from. Take pics if you want.

Judging by that answer, doesn't sound like a very common place for a leak. The cars currently on blocks in my driveway right now. :P I have already removed the passenger side tire, cleaned the area in and around the oil filter, its not coming from the filter, as I originally thought, as I've had some shotty mechanics not tighten filters properly, but this one is fine. I don't see any drops coming from any higher into the engine then what I previously described. It seems to be coming from a hose (??) just to the inside of the filter, and its dripping down onto the axle shaft, then to the ground. It's small, I lose about a quart of oil, every 3 months or so.

Okay, after further inspection, this is the best I can describe it. Definitely not coming from higher up in the engine, or the filter itself. The part of the engine that the oil filter is mounted on. There's also a wire that plugs into it right behind the filter. Oil is leaking from that "housing" I guess you would call it, and coming out right where that wire connection is.
