04 Grand Prix GTP MODS any ideas?????

how can we assume he won't be able to run stock timing on a 3.4? the difference between the 3.6 and 3.4 isnt that much, really.

It is on a GenV.

If he was a GenIII I'd agree 110%...but most GenV cars need valvetrain mods, or E85, or some form of cooling to get away with a 3.4"...short stack, full size IC, Meth injection...you know...or I mean, it could be like Brandon's car...and have like 12* of timing with a 10.8:1 AFR on a 3.5"...right?

won't know until he tries and scans, though.

I can't believe this is happening......but I totally agree with Bio here. The difference is small between the two pulleys. I say try at least.

I still get a little KR once in a while. Unless you're talking about a really good hand tune I don't see a 3.3 or even a 3.5 with those mods. I don't see a 3.6 and a 3.4 as close to one another but I'm just a rookie here.

the only steps worth taking are 2 tenths at a time or more. i only had 3.4, 3.2, and 3.0 pulleys.

and the reason why genV cars 'are more prone to knock' is because the timing table are more aggressive. get a real tune, which will handle the timing changes, and you should be good to go with dropping pulleys so long as you have some form of pre-cat exhaust work.
