04 Grand Prix GTP MODS any ideas?????

i have a bone stock 04 GTP with under 100k miles. in my opinion runs fast as is but i wanna make it faster and louder but it needs to be reliable.

My ideas are 1. k&n cold air intake
2. Headers
3.Exhaust
4. then upgrade to a 3.4 pulley.

just want some opinions or other ideas.

Yeah, #5 would be a new bottom end with those mods.

Think along the lines of a 3.6" pulley...and a tune...and making your own intake instead of wasting over $300 on that junker from K&N.

3.4 pulley is too small , like blue said click on his link and read up. You will definitely need a tune and scan for KR.

also with the 3.6 instead of the 3.4 plus the other 3 mods would it still be reliable

i read most of that page before i registered for the site earlier while i was researching. didnt u say the pcm messed your car up

You need rockers or a cam to go below a 3.6 pulley. Also with the 3.4 if you drop to it in the future will need bigger injectors

A ZZP PCM messed up my car.

Other's have had good luck with them.

Go buy a DHP PCM from 3800Performance if you want a canned tune.
 
not sure i agree with this thread.

with an intake, headers, and a proper tune i would be willing to say that 3.4 would be doable on some 'okay' timing numbers.
 
Ok here it goes - Make your own intake (open cone) http://www.grandprixforums.net/simple-intake-pictures-33351.html ,autolite 605 plugs , put some headers or plog here is a write up if you install Speed Daddy's http://www.grandprixforums.net/speed-daddy-header-install-writeup-32920.html , stock exhaust anything out there sound like crap for this type of car (you could go with slp or borla) or just STOCK. MPS system (modular pulley system (3.6 will be the safest after doing the mentioned mods, scan for KR first ) You could scan for KR with an aeroforce scangauge (install one worth the investment) . Get a TUNE, find someone that knows about tunes and get er done.

i am reading it and found the section but what do u do if you have KR.. Sorry if its in there and im missing it
 
KR is knock retard.

You have it when you can't flow efficiently enough. Thus, the car knocks, the PCM pulls timing. In a nutshell, its bad. It's what destoys motors when you run too small of a pulley.

ya but does the pcm correct the problem or what do i have to do to correct it
