got my butt kicked by a SRT8 300

Over the past few weeks i have been seeing this srt8 Chrysler 300 running around my town, driven by an older guy, i could hear it had some exhaust work as well some euro tail lights... i kept telling myself i was going to catch him on the highway sometime, well monday was that day, saw him get on a 2 mile long road running from our town to the highway so i followed him, got out to the highway and got next to him, i knew i was gonna get beat but i figured it wouldn't be too bad, i was wrong went twice once from about 75 and once from about 55 and he blew my doors off, he pulled away from my like i pull away from cars that are maintaining a speed and i was trying! i now can say i have a healthy respect for the 6.1l hemi as well as the srt8 brand lol!
talked to a buddy and i guess this guy has some intake/exhaust work and a few other things felt a little better about my car getting its doors blown off by a Chrysler after hearing that
 


yeah i was very sure not to do a fly by or anything gay, also had a huge grin on my face and gave the guy a thumbs up, i had beaten a a magnum with the 5.7 and didnt know the 6.1 had that much more punch.

The 6.1 is respectable until you bring something fast to the party. They avoid LSx guys like the plague, and rightfully so.

Orly.. one friend of mine has an SRT8 charger, other has an SLP firehawk. Is that why the modded ls1 can't keep up worth dick against the hemi? Also had LS2 GTO and couldn't keep up .
 


I put a couple carson a SRT8 300C...he had a few deep in the backseat...from a dig to about 110~...ish.

It looked pretty much stock...I had an XP/Headers/3.2/LS1 TB setup with the built trans.

Twas a good time.

I'm sure he would have caught me if we would have kept going past 120 or so.
 
I sat next to the Jeep SRT8 with S1X, 3.4, Gen V and built trans. I don't believe either of us expected the other to keep up. I was in shock that this pos was next to me until I hit the brakes and saw the centered pipes and badge.

You're joking right? Typical H/C/I Ls1 Fbodies should have no problems with an SRT8 Charger. Or Challenger for that matter, I'm about even, if not a little bit quicker than the average H/C/I Fbody and I've walked away from and SRT8 challenger more than a few times.

I can't explain why your friends sh!t is slow, but I'll bust that ass every day, and twice on sunday.
