Why you should run a 2.8 pulley on an otherwise stock vehicle...

In my short time here with GPF, I've seen many threads pop up about "can I run this pulley on a stock vehicle." I'm voting yes. Some reasons behind this thought are:

1. Hilarity will ensue as we read your thread about your vehicle no longer running properly.

2. Your local auto mechanic will make more money thus stimulating the economy.

3. Nixon said if this thread was created, he would also contribute.

You may read many threads about needing to mod this or that, but why spend the money on supporting mods when you could just get a whole new engine? Think of the possibilities!

Not saying it isn't a bad thread, but in its sarcastic creation, comes a lot of truth. People always think that because so and so did this or whatever that the next guy can do it, too. For instance, I ran my Grand Prix GT top swapped with exhaust manifolds and U-bend on a 3.8 pulley with the only "mods" being hand ported heads and a hybrid tune of tweaked L36 and L67 engine data. Does this mean everyone can? HELL NO. My car is a freak. I think people might just need to pop a piston or two before they realize that without reading the safely modding thread or scanning constantly that they are asking for trouble.

4. If you cannot afford to fix your engine, your part out thread will help the community.

5. Mad Monkey won't be able to break your brake calipers. :th_biggrin2:

6. So you can go turbo sooner.

7. So you can recycle your plastic engine cover for the earth by taking it off.

8. Because you will be faster then any other GTP around.
