Got into a race with a lightning with more stickers then mods and beat him of course and after feeling happy with the win I didn't feel so happy as I past a cop at 70 in a 45. He pulled out and I pulled in to a store, hoping he wouldn't notice but he did and he pulled up next to me at the gas pump and the first thing the cop said was "what are you running in that thing... Pop the hood?!?!?"! I didn't know what to say lol and all I could do is pop the hood.. he walked up and all he said was "nice I like sleepers" and got back in his car and drove off. I dodged a bullet with him and another reason to not street race.
 




Ya it was a first gen. I don't think I could take a second gen aren't they putting out like 440+ hp stock.
 


They're roll cars...without a decent tire.

Buddy had a red one with a ported blower/TB/intake and all it did was spin...would have suspension cured it too? Possibly...it only threw down like high 13's I think
 
Oh ok I can imagine they would have traction issues. I have yet to make it to a 1/4 mile track but at the 1/8 mile I ran 9.4 at 78mph but that was when I had an exhaust leak, bad tune and only running 6 pounds of boost. Now no leak and 10 pounds I'll see Wednesday or Friday what I run

393 windsor, high ports, ysi. It's funny because no one at the local hangout really pays it any attention.

Stock for 01+ Lightnings is generally 330ish rwhp. My 04 made 476/531. Stock engine, exhaust, fuel system, etc. on 15lbs (stock is 8lbs). That was the funnest vehicle I ever owned.
 


I thought they made more power then that stock but i guess not. Ya I was spinning bad and because of the exhaust leak I wasn't building boost as quick but all is good now.
 
Hell if i passed a cop that fast id be given a ticket in no time. Im just laughin inside cuz i cant even imagine a cop approachin you for that lol. But good kill otherwise.
