Went out for a coffee this morning and figured I'd grab a few quick pictures of the Land Rover. So here they are, and yes. I do have bigger tyres. :D

Thanks. :D

Snorkel is moved around quite a bit depending on what we plan on doing. Facing it straight ahead is great for daily driving, taking trips, and usual off-roading becuase it work as a 'Ram Air'. However when we plan on being around water we turn it around to face backwards so that nothing gets splashed into the snout and causes us to bog in the middle of it.

I always thought land rovers look goofy, but you have to respect them for their capabilities. I used to do a lot of off roading when I owned this over sized toy:

Just installed my new CB antenna a few minutes ago. I kinda like where it is but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it there. What do you guys think about it?

I guess you gotta watch for low clearance signs now with that antenna ;)

What brand of antenna did you get? I think it looks good in the position you have it. If clearance is an issue though, you could always relocate it to the bumper and that will save you some height issues, if you have any?

Just a thought.

breaker breaker 10-4, breaker breaker 10-4.

Hahaha, yup it should get great reception there. Will just have to avoid the drive thru's and such.

McDonalds got pissed when I went through there with my old antenna that was'nt nearly this tall and busted out all their florescent lights. :th_biggrin2:

Looks good man. Remember when I had my Yota sitting on 38's. CB antenna mounted on top of the roll bar. Beat the crap out of everything.lol!!!! Got awsome reception though.

where can I find a WX antenna about that length? all i can find are little 2' ones.

Not really sure. Longest one I found after just a couple of minutes of looking was 36". Your best bet it probably just to get a CB with a built in WX rather than a stand alone.

it is built in but dont i need an anttenna to make it recieve those signals?

Yeah, you have to have a antenna for it. However if your WX is built into a regular trucker style CB all you need is a CB antenna like you can buy at any truck stop. Flying J, Love's, T&A, places like that.

Or if all else fails I can just go get you one locally and ship it to you.
