Seriously I got my o2 em for 4o to 50 cant remember exactly which but it was more suited to my goals to kill the cat and em it now vs spend the money on a tune

Yea Ive have 50 50 resopnses like that. Some in the same boat as me some not. I had a issue with it sealing up at first then got it sealed up. Kinda matters how the wind is blowing it seems. Still Id get a cat purely on that fact still.

3" Ive had it to 3 or 4 shops for the "free" checks and no leaks I just think the way it creeps under the car who knows not a fan tho. As soon as I work out my fuel filter issue that Im pretty sure is stock Im going to seafoam and then a custom tune. Hopfully that will pan it out. I think Im a little rich plus Im looking to fix the random drop to 14.5mpg.

I just won all over 2 yes 2 mustangs(I know 4.6 not a huge deal) but funny when they get walked together by a GS. They smelt my stank
 
I don't have a catalytic converter and I never will I had mine clog up on me once before and it made my car go as slow as a snail. Plus mines NA so I was slow to begin with lol it sucked being passed by all the ****ty cars on the road 0_0 Had Overkill tune out my codes when I ordered my ECU and all is good. Oh and it barely ever smells except when I first started it up.

Yeah go with the 3" non-catted downpipe. A cat can only clog, which over my GP experiences seems to happen quite a bit to the stock ones and on the aftermarket ones after 80-100k for some reason. Also I could not think of a reason to intentionally sacrifice flow by making 30% less area available. O, and the best way to fool the rear O2 sensor is just to remove it from the stream an inch or 2 it shouldn't trip any p0420's that way.

if an aftermarket clogs after 80 to 100k y is that a problem? for some ppl thats 8 to 10 years of driving. i'll take it.

Idk, that's about 3 years for me, and I will probably own my 98 for 10 more years, if I had to deal with even 2 more clogged cats it makes sense to get rid of it.

I really don't see how you could justify having something that hurts performance, gas mileage, costs money and takes time to replace when, not if they clog.

u put 80k miles on ur car in 3 years? thats insane. theres really no proven big amount of performance gains with dp's with or without cats. same with gas mileage. ur talkin very minimal difference between both performance and mpg.

i lost MPG's once i went catless barley but still and with a high flow cat its almost like there is no car there so either way you might loose MPG's but it wont be much

exactly. addzradd is saying you gain gas mileage catless. regardless whether you gain or lose its minimal.

yea i think it was maybe .2 or .3 i forget it wasn't much it was worth it to get rid of that "U" bend
