Removed the resonator from my 08 gxp



what did you do, just put a strait pipe on it? what else have u done to your gxp i have a 07 looking for mods. and to stop oil consumption
 
Sounds better in person... They welded a straight pipe on in place of the resonator...

Weird. My GTP sounds just like that. Res deleted with a 3" straight pipe welded from that cat back to the Y

Yea idk if it sounds just like mine, but it does sound better than my gtp with res delete, and magnaflow mufflers. My gtp sounds like ****...

DoD is where the oil goes. It's a known issue with the GXP with the displacement on demand crap. When the engine uses only 4 cylinder, the other 4 are still getting oil. All 8 run burns the oil in the cylinders. Only way to get around it is have it tuned and have DoD disabled. Some say they never noticed a difference in MPG, some have seen 3-4 MPG.
