upgrading steering wheel

hey guys, im thinking about swapping out my 2000 gtp steering wheel out for a buttonless 04 gp wheel.. any ideas if they should bolt up, or if id have to mod anything? the 00 style is bulky and ugly! and the 04+ ones look really sleek.. thanks again!
 


Well I'm not sure about the 04+ style switch, but what's wrong with the 01-03 wheel? I like them muchhh better than 97-00. Just a thought ;)
 
well i work at an auto wreckers, so ideas just come to me ya know? plus the wheel that i picked up matches the interior of my car lol.. plus after installing my new deck, the buttons just light up... which is annoying as all hell cuz they dont serve a purpose now.
 


i totally wanna see an 04+ wheel in a 97-03

I've got no clue how to make it happen.. so i will cheer on from the stands.
 




what about a 01-03 style wheel? is it direct bolt in for a 97? plugs, radio buttons and all?

Bonneville steering wheels are the same... correct? and you 2 london ontario knuckle heads are always up to know good lmao, thanks for the badge btw, and if that radio button at home is like mine or yours, lmk, hopefully it lights up, too busy to have the time to solder in a new bulb
