Cam or rockers? Topswap or HV3?

Yes I have used the search bar already. Couldn't find any solid info.

For a NA GP, would camming or rockers be better for performance? Why?

Also for NA, is it better to do a topswap, or an HV3 insert?

Now if I topswapped, would a cam or rockers be better?

Depends on what your goals are? Do you want to make a little more power and it be pretty easy? Or do you want power? How much are you willing to spend?

The topswap and cam will give you the most power, an HV3 and rockers will give you a good bump and be simple to do.

Answers:

Cam

Topswap

Cam

If you are talking power to power relation then a cam and top swap will beat N/A mods any day.

A cammed topswap should be basement 13's with a pulley if you want to bench race. An L36 with HV3 and rockers might be low 15s. maybe.

you only have 2k...dont go turbo, chances are you will need a trans and you WILL need a tuner and youll end up paying more than 2k for a turbo setup.
for 2k....i would do a top swap, get a cam/headers. drop a pulley size to maybe a 3.6/3.5. scan for kr and tune.

Even on a topswap, you should get a tune. You can turn down turbo boost with a boost controller easier than swapping pullies.

All it takes is common sense and not driving like a dbag and a trans will hold up just fine.

NEED a tune for a top swap.

Unless you plan on reusing your L36 injectors and TB.

Which should never happen.

NEED is a strong word. As long as you're on a 3.8 pulley and don't abuse the car a GTP tune should be sufficient.

That is one of those things that will never be confirmed though.

Still won't.

GTP PCM will have GTP trans settings which will not work with a GT transmission.

I ran my GT PCM with my L36 injectors for a while...but that was without boost and just so i could get around cuz WBS took like 3+ weeks to get me everything. Dont ever do it. I was also scanning at the time.

The car will shift like crap and throw codes of you have the incorrect gear ratio in the PCM. Plus you will want to change the shift points for 3.29s.

why would you topswap just to not abuse the car? why most people add power lols.

To the op, do you want any mpg's? cam, rockers will take that away alot more then the other mods you asked about..
topswap will also if your in the pedal alot.

On the contrary, rockers actually add mpg.I gained an additional 10-15miles to the tank after the ER's. I hear a cam may take away city mpgs but help highway mpgs.
