Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello, I'm here, are you? New GTP Owner 18hrs New, Surrey, BC Canada. Loving a GTP

Ok you can read my sig for the details. But for introduction's sake. Yes you can tell by my user name I am a Fiero Nut. A little about me. Between my wife and I we have 4 Fiero's 2 of them are V8's(one of the V8's is even nitrous fed) and 2 are stock 2.8 V6's. I do all the work on the cars so working on cars is not foreign to me. We did not buy the car to butcher it for a Fiero, we bought it because we needed a good family car and I refused to own an import or anything with less than 6 cylinders. I won't ask here, but I'll be doing a lot of research on pulley swaps, plug choices and basic TLC for the car. The GTP seems like the best way to have my cake and eat it too. I was really amazed at how well it cornered, however braking seemed a bit sluggish.

Running Torque and OBD Scan on my Android phone showed everything was good for the first 100kms of heavy foot driving, then set a code for plug 4 misfire. So I'll be doing plugs fairly soon.

My personal ride is an 87 Fiero GT with a 4.9 Alum Block Fuel Injected V8 100hp Nitrous shot, ran through a 5spd Getrag trans. MSD Everything. (Coil, 6AL, Superconductor Wires, NGK UR5 plugs, ya they are a bit hot for Nitrous use, but holding up well).

We have a 3 year old daughter and a 2nd on the way. Until now we have owned a 96 Blazer (4.3 vortec, AWD) as a family car, but after $2000 in recent repairs and now needed $1000 worth of fuel injection parts, it was not worth it to keep it. As its only worth $2500 on a good day. We got the GTP for a steal, at least I think so, $2250.

Ok enough of the into, I am going to head to the tech and start looking through the sticky's.

Oh one last note, I started and moderate West Coast Fiero's, www.westcoastfieros.com/forum

You made a mistake...GTP's are only good for donating to Fiero swaps. Regal GS's, Bonneville SSEi's and Park Avenue Ultra's those are family cars.

i joke...Welcome..

LOL @ Bill Boost, I am really enjoying this GTP so I think we will keep it. Will be a great upgrade platform.

@TLSheff I'll try and snap some pics of the GTP today and get them uploaded.

However here is a quick shot of my personal Fiero.

One of the guys in the office over here has a white Fiero. That one you have looks pretty cool.

Welcome! Your car looks really nice. I like the 87-88 coupe nose you used and the lip on it. How did you go about doing that? Normally coupe noses on a fastback are hideous but that looks great.

Very nice.

BTW most of us create a Photobucket account (its free and has TONS of room) and then copy the link to the forum as needed. The forum itself only allows for like 10 uploads so we link from PB.

Thanks its been a long project. The Black one is my Nitrous V8 5spd Fiero. Its a blast out on the highway, and even more so light to light against Imports and Mustangs. (I usually take it easy on F-Body's cause I like them)

One of our members is a fiberglass wizard. We did it over a couple of days, used a special hard foam to make the shape, then layers of fiberglass to build it up, followed up with kitty hair for shaping. We scuffed the GM Enduroflex panels to create a good bond. The only bad thing is the nose when on level ground is so low that it will hit most parking blocks.

Very nice.

Thats not an issue for me as I believe I have a terabyte of storage, and unlimited traffic from my private server that hosts all my domains. www.captfiero.com www.fierochick.com www.westcoastfieros.com and a bunch of other Fiero and or Computer related sites.

Back on topic, I still have not figured out where to post all my questions. I do have a really dumb question. Is this car a W body. (alright before you laugh too much, did you know that a Fiero is a P body)

Maybe someone can point me into the correct forums.

Bose Audio Stereo it has an old school tape player with amp and steering wheel controls, what adapter parts do I need. (you don't have to answer, just let me know what forum is best for the question)

Body Stuff. Headlights are really hazy due to age, replace or repair?

Engine Mods. (I figure engine forum) I spoke to a Fiero guy with a 3800 S/C 5spd and he said only 2 mods that are important are 3.4 pulley and a ZZP Ported Intake. Also what are the best / easiest / most important bang for the buck mods for a dead stock car.

Well that is the kind of information I'll be looking for as I read through this forum. The car seems to be a great car, just needs some minor TLC as the previous owners loved the car, but were not "car guys" it got regular maintenance at the dealer, but not much more.

Unless you have a thing against pistons and like them to be chipped, No No No.

^^^ Will be your friend, has all the info for modding safely

In a Fiero those mods would suffice a 3.4 since you have to make headers for those cars, but our cars manifolds are very restrictive. As mentioned above read the safely modding thread.

Welcome to the form and the ride looks to have some nice potential!

Let me guess on the blazer. Needed a new spider injector and fuel injectors? I used to own 2000 S10 Xtreme with the 4.3 Vortech and had to replace mine.

Actually I was serious... GP's suck, specially the seats in 97-03. Great donors for motors though.

(Am I the only one that clicked on the fiero link hoping for pics of Fiero Chick herself?) lol

LOL, nailed it on the head.

The only thing I don't like about the seats is they don't hold you in as well as the Fiero seats in a corner. However, Fiero seats are not, heated, with working inflatable lumbar, power seats, made from leather. (My 88 Fiero does have the inflatable lumbar but the bladders leak, and my 87 Fiero does have aftermarket Mr Mikes leather) However still not as cushy as the GTP seats.

If you think the GP seats are cushy, the early 90's TGP seats were amazing. Or find a 92-99 Bonneville SSEi on CL and go sit in in that seat. The switches are for control of one seat, except the L/R switch. Reason I mention this is ...these might be a good source for new bladders for the fiero's. They have I think three back lumbar bags plus the bolsters.

My 94 SSEi didn't have the 9000way power seats, just the basic electric movements, so make sure it has the full out options.

But yes, comfy... much better than the GTP. Do it!
