Well, Here's the beginning of a timeline. I'd been looking for a GTP for awhile, when I graduated highschool in May of 2011 I found someone who wanted to trade a 98 for my 91 celica gt plus some cash on my end. I jumped on it. Originally the car had scraped a median barrier and the driver side front fender and door were replaced with dark green panels:( After I got her she had 122k on the clock, I changed out the quarter panel and repainted the door. From there it has been some slight mods, custom 3" exhaust from the Y back. Some paint. And I just put in a 3" catless DP. Next up is a 3.6" pulley and a PCM.

First week I got her

Then I decided I liked the red better. So, this is how she sits today.

it looks really good! im not a fan of the blue headlights though...
i like the rims/red grills.

The DC came from the previous owner, it came off pretty quick. I'm trying to find a decent price on one, in CO we are required to have a front plate so they are tricky to find.

You might like some red pontiac inlays for the rear too.

What kind of paint/clear did you use? It's really glossy! I need to repaint my spoiler and thats how i want it!

its really all about the clear and how you lay it on what you really should use IMO is DC4000 Clearcoat from PPG, i did my rims with JC630 Shopline witch is a cheaper line of PPG. They came out very glossy but i laid it down real nice, check out my how to paint your rims thread in my signature. But i did my roof rails with the DC4000

Well I had my front plate stolen off the car a month ago, so now I'm running my front plate in the windshield. So if I can find a filler I'm gonna grab it. Already have the inlays, reflective red. Pictures just didn't turn out how I wanted them to. I'm picky when it comes to photos with my actual camera. Phone pictures I don't care lol.

For paint I just use the Krylon paint you can pick up at any parts store. Nice even spraying nozzles.
The clear is just some I had in my garage. Awhile back I used Fleckstone to paint some rifles I have, the clear coat is meant to be an outdoor clear for plastic or metal. Works pretty good on the car.

At first I didn't like the car, but cleaned up and the black and red look great together! I bet you could have pulled off the black and blue if the blue had been darker. :)

Went the the pull and save yard this weekend. Scored some new front grills, a DIC that works but I need to replace the back lights in it. And I also happened to find an older GTP badge in great shape. $9 for everything out the door. Also got around to putting some 6K HID's in my fogs. Pictures of those later this week. They are sweet!

Get rid of that tiny restrictive intake pipe and just bolt the filter on the end of the TB.

Otherwise...I like it...need to get rid of some of the wheel gap though.
