Painted Calipers

Want to paint mine but unsure of what color to use. I want them to be different, not the normal red or yellow.

Do you want attention to be drawn to them or your wheels?

Black for the stealth stopping power and no one noticing them.
All other colors for police diagnostic fees. They pull you over to give you a ticket aka diagnostic fee.

Tickets for Painted Calipers??? Remind me to stay in the south :th_laugh-lol2:

Yeahhhhhh. I about bought some polished F-body calipers... polished looks nice.

Depends on the color of the car.

I LOVED my silver calipers with black brackets on my car.

Dont go ricer colors (lime green, really light purple, electric blue etc..)

Red is the standby favorite, causet it goes with everything pretty much. I vote Black and polished, be different but awesomeo

I just did mine like a flat black a week ago and they look really good up close but at a distance you dont really notice but prior you could see the rusty color. IMO go black or go home. lol.

I'm curious how everybody paints their calipers...do you removed the entire caliper and paint it on your work bench or just remove from the rotor and leave the lines connected in the wheel well and cover everything? Spray or brush? I'm also looking at doing this and I feel the best way to do it is paint on my work bench---then again I'll have to bleed my lines again when I re-install.

I took my rotors off cuz I painted the hats of the rotors black.

Then left the rotors off and bolted the calipers back to the brackets and covered the wheels well with news paper.

I tried to get as far back as I could on the calipers but if you look far enough in, you can see where the paint fades. Nbd to me though, nobody can see in there.

I just painted my calipers last night. Gloss black. Unless you have a big brake kit there's not much point in having a "look at me" color on your calipers.

i was thinking of going this route to do my back calipers, but being that i have ss lines to put on the rears and ill have to re bleed them anyways, ill just be taking them off and cleaning them up and painting them, hung from a tree like the fronts lol

and i still need to flush the rear calipers and lines of the old brake fluid, did the fronts when i did the f body swap.

maybe this week ill finish that job.
