3.6 Pulley

Hi ive herd that you can drop to a 3.6 pulley with only a cold air intake?...Is that True?....I know for a 3.4 you need a bunch of others so your engine doesn't blow up. Newb at this stuff so jus tryin to figure it out. Thanks.
 


3.6 is like a 3.4 on a Gen 3 blower, you have a Gen 5, its better, so pulley's get dropped by a lesser amount.

And no, you cant do that.

You would need flow mods first, like headers or plog/downpipe
 
you could honestly get away with it (probably), but it won't be the best setup. to take advantage of it fully you'd want some exhaust work and a good tune.

Not really.

GenV cars tend to knock quite a bit from the factory.

Get headers, leave the stock pulley...toss a filter on the end of the MAF sensor, get it tuned. Love the higher timing.
