heater pipe that attaches to the thermostat housing .. what sealant to use ?

Hey guys,
So I'm stumped here, there is a small metal pipe that comes off of the back of the thermostat housing that further leads to one of the heater hoses. The end of this metal heater pipe that goes into the thermostat housing has an O-ring seal. My question is .. is there anything else that holds this heater pipe in place? .. the reason why I ask is that in my 2001 Grand Prix SE, this pipe keeps coming off under pressure when car is running, I was wondering what Pontiac uses to seal this pipe in place. Does anyone know? .. please help

bolt huh? .. I think I found my problem then, my heater pipe is just a pipe without any bolts holding it .. do you have a picture of bolt/plate, or better yet a picture of the correct pipe to use ?

Hold on..into the stat housing..not the front passenger side of the head...uh..

I think into the stat housing it's threaded. Into the front right is bolted.

No..I wouldn't infect my photobucket with pics of 3100's...sorry.

We talking about this part?

So that bad boy should be bolted to the head.
"heater inlet pipe"
Torque to 25 NM, 18 LB FT.

I wonder if it needs a quick-disconnect threaded into the lower intake? Maybe this guy? Poke your finger in the hole and feel for threads.

Check out part 531 here. If that's your guy, then it can probably be had cheaper by searching for part #10189218

Okay, think I'm spent.

yup, that's the part I'm looking for, but that part number that does not fit my 2001. Do you have the right part number for my car ?

The guys at my local dealership were of no help.

So I was able to find a picture of the part that I'm looking for and the actual name of the part, but still need a part number.

The part is called heater inlet adapter pipe (it's the black metal pipe) and goes into the intake manifold as pictured, with the other end going into the inlet heater hose.

Can anyone help with the GM part number?

Here's a picture ..
