Factory PCM with no speed limiter??

I tried to see when my car cuts out and it doesn't... What is the speed limited to on an '04 GTP... I haven't put an aftermarket PCM in it yet... I'm confused...:th_scratchhead:

150 is the stock speed limiter.

nah mine does about 125mph @ 2800 RPM's (obviously 4th gear lol)....erm then it cuts back/off or whatever.

142 on the comp G. i aint done it but thats what i heard. ive dont just about 140 stock

There are other things that will effect the cutoff, but the max speed set in the PCM is 150. There are injector cutoff limits lower, though.

okay well then what is the differece between all of them??? why does one say 150, then the ec somthing say 142 then 125???

just wondering but why would it shut off at different speeds??? what is the factors to this??

In Ontario you lose your car at 50k over the limit which is 95 mph. Thats right, lose your car for 1 week and minimum $2000-$10,000 fine. I rate a car form 0-150km as it is expensive after that.
