97 grand prix gt i started up this morning every thing was fine turned into the store then it was almost like the tranny was slipping till about 30mph then went fine shift out like always would not go into over drive stopped again shut it down waited a few mins started back up took off just fine fluid is good has no bad smell but the cruise still don't work

Here's what I read from your post.
My car worked fine on startup, but turning into a store it sucked, then turned it off and on and I dunno.

I'm pretty sure you didn't turn your car into a store. Tell us .. at cold startup the trans works fine, it slips at these times, you've found some consistencies. That is the type of things that will help us internet diagnose your car.

And how about some maintenance or repair history like filter change, DTC's, new transmission, etc.
 
No maintenance haven't done any thing to the tranny has shifted very smooth the whole time and still does. . Ok yes cold start up drove about 10 miles never went into od took a right hand turn in to store parking lot that's when it felt like it was slipping till
 


Just the valve body contains shift solenoids, TC solenoid, a myriad of springs, check balls, PWM, valves etc. And to top it off it's all controlled by a computer. So it's just about impossible for anyone to diagnose in this manner. Especially if there are no DTC's.

Start with general maintenance and see what happens. Unless you're willing to dismantle the transmission.
