LED vs LCD Car Stereo?

Im looking at gettin a new radio for my car and I keep seeing some head units with LED and others with LCD. Anybody know the differences and which one is a better buy?

LED or the LCD is brighter? and would the LCD be more fussy with colder temps? (like is it dimmer in the cold)

If you a referring to a screen they are all LCD's I'm 99.9% sure. When they say they are LED, they mean LED backlit, which equates to somewhat brighter screen (contrast etc).
