1. Feeling under the bottom edge of the back seat find the two loops that hold it in place. Pull both and lift up on the front edge of the seat. Lift up and out of the car.
2. Open cup holder, open center console lid. Lift console bucket out of center. Put gearshift in 1 postiion and pull small c clip from front of it to release it. Lift up on the plastic that surrounds the shifter and creates the cubby. Unplug the performance shift button if applicable. Move pieces out of way
3. There should be 4 10mm bolts holding the console to the floor. Remove them and unplug any electrical on the console. Lift console and remove
4. Lean both seats forward and move them forward.
5. If the seat track covers are still in place, remove the phillips head screw holding them in place.
6. With those out to the way, you should see a botl holding the back of the track to the floor. You can either use a 15mm socket or a torx bit. The socket is preferred. Remove both bolts.
7. Push seat back on track (to try and center track under seat. Lean seat back, to the back. Lift back end of seat upward and pull back. The front should come out of the floor. Put seat back in the upright position.
8. Unhook any connectors going to the bottom of the seat. Lift seat out of the front door being careful not to scratch the plastic with the seat track.
9. Unscrew the phillips head screws holding the door sill plates on and remove.
10. Slip the carpet out from under the B pillar (celter part of car.
11. Wiggle, lift and remove.

Thanks Bill for the write up. Plan on removing the carpet either tonight or tomorrow night. I am curious though, if you can use that bed liner in a can stuff to cover the floor and then put the new carpet down or will that make the carpet too "thick" to lay back down? Just thinking sound dampening and since I will have all the carpet it out I might just take the opportunity to replace the head unit and the speakers...hmmmmmm

I was going to sound dampen my car when my carpet was out, but damn that's a lot of extra weight. And since I race my car quite a lot, any extra weight is unwanted! LOL

Boosten - Why not just use the "Rhino Liner" in a can for the floor of the car and get rid of the carpet? Used that in my truck and so far so good.

I have newer carpet in my car now, i like the look of carpet more now that I have a special edition interior. Plus Rhino Liner is pretty expensive for the kind I want, plus it's actually heavier than carpet all on the car believe it or not.

I've never oredered carpet. None of the cars I have had would have needed new carpet. At most I have have gone to a JY and found a good one that I could clean up for short money.

Hmmm I might have to call a few junk yards around here. This will be the first time I have had to replace carpet in a vehicle as well. There is a hole in the carpet on the driver's side by the pedals. The previous owner wore a lot of high heels..even wore a hole through the floor matt. Then spilled coffee/soda on the carpet on the passenger side and never really cleaned it up. Popped off the the whole armrest area last night and wholy nastiness! So yeah new carpet from some where.

Can you use a pressure washer on the carpet once it is removed?
