Question About Dual halo LED projector headlights

Can somebody let me know if these headlights work well? I read all over online and I was told that they were not that bright, please let me know.. I paid $195.99 I love the way they look but I just would love to know if they are reliable.

In short, IMO they suck... Read around this forum, and you will find plenty of gripes about them. If you can live with their shortcomings, they do look cool, but the output is subpar, the halos are dim, and they bounce like crazy. The brackets suck and are very cheaply made. IMO you should save money and retrofit... Only real option for our cars that I have been happy with so far.

I've had the spyder projectors since they were released.

First off: light output is FAR IMPROVED over stock housings....

Second: Look at other boards and you will find many ways to modify these capsules to limit the bouncing issue.

Third: I've only seen one guy do a set of retros that looked half decent, and he's not around anymore.

Thanks alot (: im glad I got some positive feedback about the headlights since I already purchased them. I just want to know what to expect from people with personal experience

Well if you were just looking for someone to reinforce your buying decision, then I guess you've found it. I was doing my best to share my honest experience with them, and I know for a fact I'm not the only one that feels this way. Good luck with your purchase though! They definitely are better than stock, just not worth the money you spent on them, (in my opinion).

if the brackets break (where the screw goes, just mold in some stock ones, they work awesome! and for the bouncing, weather striping works pretty good too, also, before you install make sure all screws are tight (careful to not over tighten though) you will love them, in MY HONEST opinion, they are better out put then stock, however were cheaply built, you can use a stock bracket to beef it if... just a bit of cutting and molding would need to be done (if you do the cutting and molding... no need for weather striping) i think those people who say they are garbage or they suck or not that good, they haven't tried everything to make them work, if you love the look, and the output, you will make them work, even if it means making a new bracket out of metal post pics up once they are one, we wanna see :)

I agree with DzeBold you would be better off saving and doing a retrofit. Those a ok as far as light output. There are better than the OEM headlights. And like he said before they do bounce around but like Copgtp said you can swap brackets to stop them from bouncing. I just think with doing a retrofit your light output will be WAY MORE improved and you can really make you headlights 1 of 1. And now with the MM1's retrofitting is easier than ever. Im doing a retro to my 02 Monte Carlo. JMO

IMO, the retrofit projectors look worse than stock capsules. Of course, if looks don't matter, a retrofit will give you the best light output,

I bought the same headlight that u bought and honestly they suck, led halos arent bright at all even with halogen bulbs u cant even see the halos so i sold them, and i got the samething with the ccfl halos which are alot brighter than led halos...

I bought a set of them and i will admit they are not that great. I have a red and black theme on my car so i switched out the halo l.e.d's and put in some bright red one with capaciters and they are really bright and look good. but the halogen lights arent that great i drive every where with my brights on. never been brighted once..... i also made some brackets to hoold them steady. the real big downer i had was the plastic on them developed hair pin cracks all across the front of them. they do really set the car apart and look good on black cars with the black housing.

shouldhave gotten the CCFL halos. theyre like 20 bucks more, but halos are a lot brighter.

I got the smoked lens ones and I strongly recomend putting HIDs in them. My low beam HIDs are 100% brighter then the high beam halegens on these. I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

I recently installed them and they work perfectly, the halo ring isnt blinding bright.. but it kinda has a purple look to it, matches my car pretty well and I got many compliments on them.
Plus the output is just as good as stock.. well I think it is anyway :)

I just got an 08 gp and I want to put Halos in it. I've been looking at Halo projector headlights everywhere, and is there a real significant drop from a top brand like spyder compared to something cheaper on ebay?
