Would exhaust tips from an 04+ fit the 97-03?

I really like the look of the dual duals and have been unable to locate any specific to the 97-03 (discontinued). I have found the 04+ though...part # 12498009. Has anyone tried them? Do they fit? Pics would be great too!

I picked up mufflers with the tips for free from someone on craigslist. They definately aren't the best looking dual duals out there but for free and with the mufflers being in great shape like they have no miles on them ill polish the tips and throw them on my 02
 
Anyone with pics? I can pick up some 04-08 tips pretty reasonable....but would like to see what they look like first. Thanks!! :)
 
i dont have any pics yet because i'm still polishing them. but i dont need pics. i got mine for free and so i picked them up because the mufflers are in better shape and i know after being polished they will look better
 
Free is always good!! Really interested to see if they stick out past the bumper .....which I hope they don't. I really like the polished look.

I got an extra set of the 97-2003 GT tips you are correct neither side is available from GM and hasn't been for years. I had them sand blasted so they are very clean and ready for paint or powder coating.

I got them as I am going to put the factory dual set up on my 97 SE that has the 3.8 engine in it.
 


Thanks Keith, I like the fact that they don't extend past the bumper. Looks like they fill out the exhaust tip cutout space well.

Do they clamp on? Or do they need to be welded?...NM I see the additional photos with the clamps.

They are welded in. They can be clamped.
