New kind of FMHE?

JBoss GTP

Awhile back I was looking into a frozen boost HE, when I came across Eurocharged. They work on Benz, bmw, and lambos etc so I think they put time/money on they products. I know there has been debate about the HE we all use but maybe this could be better? I have looked into the eurocharged ones a bit but im not thr best around on cars. Their FMHE looks pretty good but maybe too big maybe too much idk? Has anyone else seen these or looked onto them.

here is a linl to their page
Heat Exchanger

And heres one to a Benz forum that talks bout it

Not a bad looking exchanger, could be a possibility. But it won't be. For this reason.

ZZPerformance - ZZP 3800 Heat Exchanger #ZZ-38HE
ZZP FMHE ^ $179.99 (+ $50.00 Stage3 Upgrade)

or your option
Heat Exchanger
For a stupendous $597.99.

Now if you want to spend $600 on the exchanger alone, plus pump, hoses, etc... be our guest. Doubt anyone would follow tho.

But, again, very VERY nice looking Heat Exhanger.

Gotta trim the bumper to get most WBS and ZZP exchangers to mount correctly.

That one you listed doesn't look like it's worth the money paid for it. If I were to do it again I would either use the VW Scirocco radiator (lots of people have done that)

OR I would buy from Frozenboost because theirs is bar and plate style even though that is another argument by itself.

I'm really curious to how you guys mounted these with issues. Mine bolted right up with zero issues.

There is no argument about bar and plate being the best heat exchanger, its the actual IC being bar and plate that's the argument.

Well if anyone wants a VW radiator style you can have mine for $20 plus shipping.

All single pass heat exchangers will perform about equally.

I'm going to be dropping some extra money on Dual Pass Heat Exchanger designed for a performance truck. It has more surface area and fins per inch than anything else I've seen used on a Grand Prix. From the stock intercooler on the truck to the aftermarket one I will be buying temp drops have been noted from an additional 20-40*F

The Eurocharged site doesn't give enough information for me to justify dropping over $500...
Our custom-built HE's use furnace brazed cores (no epoxy) resulting in better heat dissipation and are heliarc welded with CNC precision machined billet aluminum necks.
It has a 1.8 liter fluid capacity and 4000 sqare inches of fin area to help battle the heat soak issues!

I'm running a VW Scirocco radiator with a vacuum switch and resistor. If I have vacuum, the pump is running through the resistor approximately 8 volts or half speed. If I have boost the switch closes and the pump runs at full speed.

did you make that switch set up or can we buy it somewhere?

I agree with ya explicit that they dont say much abouy it when its $500. I have read up on the benz forums bout them and most of them all prefer the eurocharged ovet frozenboost for the size of it, weight, inlet/out size, and the temp drop. I mean its 30x6x3, I would say thats alot os surface area. Is it worth the money? Idk and we all r gonna say no. Besides price the price, could it be better? I think so.

I had to do mine differently than other people because mine is a Monte Carlo but you get the idea.

Don't mind my rust, I fixed it before I put the bumper cover back on.
