How did your top swap go? Problems?

Well, my engine appears to be shot, so I'm getting one to replace it. I can get an L67 with around 110,000 for maybe $1200 or $1000, or I can get the l26 with around 75,000 miles, for $600 to $800. The engines have a 90 day warranty, so I wouldn't swap my top end over until my vacation time this summer. Time shouldn't be an issue. My question is, how did your swap go? What problems did you encounter? Do most swaps go fairly smoothly, or do they tend to blow up in peoples faces?
I'd rather get the engine that was designed for boost from the beginning, but I have 2 reasons for considering the swap. The N/A engine has +- 50,000 fewer miles, and has never been subjected to boost. Or boost with a vacuum leak or dirty injectors or a bad IAC or a bad lim or 87 octane, and on and on. It's also quite a bit cheaper, and I can get the parts I need over a few months. That always helps. Also, I'd end up changing the lim anyhow, so either engine is coming apart to a certain extent.
So, back to my question. How did your swap go?
Thanks, Gas.

other than a bit of extra time swapping parts around, and the obvious fact that you should probably put some mods on it to help keep things safe... It goes great.

You can make more power with more mpg using a cheaper motor.... I suggest the L36's myself for boosted applications, but the L26 will work fine.

Just found an L32 with 56,000 miles. Don't really want to drop the cash on it, but it comes with a 6 month warranty on parts, upgradeable in steps to lifetime parts and labor. We'll see. I'm dropping the top swap idea now, because I think my piston finished breaking into little bitty pieces, and probably messed up one of my heads. Oh, well.

Topswaps are easy if you do your research ahead of time.

For a topswap, you need a tune, headers, etc. You should just stick another L67 back in it.
