• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Oh isn't this some crap. Dash cracked.

Left work today, it was 27F. Started the car, turned on the heated seats and switched the vents to the windshield.

Wasn't even in the car long enough to find a radio station to listen to and suddenly I hear a CRACK, and the long dash piece that houses the HUD, BUCKLES UPWARD at the right edge of the HUD pod, putting a 6 inch jagged crack through it.

I was able to push it back down, positively hearing the clips snap into place, as if they weren't secured or something. Can still see the crack though :th_tongue2: Second piece to do this crap. The sunroof trim split on the passenger side with an audible crack the first day it was decently cold.

Oh well, both are fairly cheap pieces. 55 more payments to go *sigh*

Yeah, I ended up paying Blue Book for it as the dealership had me by the balls. My previous car wasn't going to even make it home and they knew it.

The dash piece that cracked is like... $31 last I checked. More of a nuisance then anything else.

I have the same problem. No HUD. Is this easy to replace? I looked at the dash disassembly post and I am not willing to go through that. Is there an easy way?

I hear you. For some reason my sunroof trim decided to crack too. I hit my head on it every now and then but have never heard it crack. Then suddenly it's hanging down into my face.

Yeah, the HUD pod didn't crack, just the dash piece it's attached to. Looking at install pics, I can't tell if either EVERY other piece needs to come off first, or if that piece can be pried out on it's own.
