Do I need a wideband?

In the next couple months my car will be complimented with an S1X cam, gen V, and a custom tune. Do I need to get a wideband gauge in order to get the best tune possible?
 


Is there any particular one that is better than the other? As of now I am looking at different style AEM gauges that are selling for $170-ish on eBay.
 


i been tuning my car since day one, and for one reason or another, my wideband was never working. Now its hooked up, and its spot on. so I guess Ill continue to use it for reference purposes
