Brake calipers and why you choose to paint them?

for all of you guys who switch over to the f-body calipers where are you guys getting them from and for how much? i had to replace one on my camaro around 6 months ago and i remember it having a decent little pricetag.is there somewhere i could get it cheaper?

Salvage yard locally...

or...

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

I usually try to get to them before some local core guy does and they sell them to me what he would buy them for, so I try to get them for about $50.00/set, where to regular Joe Schmo off the street, he would pay $50.00/caliper abouts.

I would love to get new rims, but convincing the boss, is another story. If I could sell them and use that money to get new rims, what or where would be the best route to do?

Yeah I agree not doing red calipers with a green car, it would look like you are celebrating christmas all year long. But honestly the silver ones would only make your car that much nicer than mine.....

Thats your call or what you can do ya know. I see your in IL, and if your car is a daily driver, then I would keep your stock wheels for winter time beaters. Salt does not like chrome or aluminum wheels all that much. (unless you wash them off several times a week you could be fine).

Actually these are my second set of rims that I bought for 70 bucks because I can't really afford rims that cost around a grand. My car originally had Egleone6's rims that are posted above and I personally just hate those and since I got the car I always wanted to take them off, but I'm not downing people who sport those. Anyway, I was simply joking with boosting98 but I know what you mean about living in Illinois especially around St. Louis because they throw down a butt load of salt in the winter. I've actually thought about putting the old rims back on in the winter because of it.....

Sorry GR8racingfool, I just realized that you probably weren't talking to me, I'm still getting used to this and I'm an idiot HA :th_shakinghead1:

I have decided to hold off on the rims. Probably better in the long run. I did notice after having my tires rotated yesterday, (stupid stupid) there is a chip in the paint. I will have to wait a few more days and go back over it.

I am going to invest in those projector lights that are on sale.
