Bought my first Pontiac.....and LOVE IT!

I just bought my first Pontiac and the car i've always wanted. Its a 2004 Grand Prix GTP. I LOVE it. It has all the options I could ask for and all the power I need. Soon as I can get some pictures on my computer I will upload them. It has 70,000 miles on it and I paid $8,000 on it with only one TINY dent in the hood and one TINY little scratch in the leather seat. Other than that the car is MINT! I am so excited i found this car and it was bought from the dealership new in 2004 and lady owned and brought back to the same dealership. So its maintenance records are awesome. Great find IMO. Can't wait to get to some modding! Hope you guys can help me out since im new to these. I always had GM so i'm some what familiar to these engine's. ;)

Very sharp looking car. Congrats on the purchase. It sure does sound like a steal compared to my 2008 GP Base that had 69,000 Miles on it and cost me $13,500.
 
thanks guys, i'm definately getting the windows tinted next week after i get paid since im BROKE lol. I love it. Unfortunately driving to work today my check engine light came on.....figures. I'm assuming because sheets only had 89 and it wants me to run 91. I didnt think it would be that big of a deal. I'm gonna take it to my girlfriends dads shop and let him scan it and see what it says. Luckily i got the extended warranty!
 
do you think thats why it threw a code? I'm getting it scanned today in the afternoon. Just wanted to see what you guys thought?
 


Ugggggggg lower octane in a S/C car is bad. Did you read the owners manual or not look at the sticker on the gas door?

well the sticker on the door was peeled off. and i read the manual AFTER i put the gas in because i was thinking to myself that i probably was supposed to put higher octane in then i did. DUMBa$$ lol. i know i know very good way to start on the forum!!
 


thats guys haha. I got it down to about half and put 91 in it. Its been running good. Although i drove it in is first snow/ice today. All i have to say is i HOPE snow tires make a huge difference cause the summer tires on this thing make it almost impossible to drive in the snow. lol SUCKKKS!!
