So there is no difference in the sway bars between the models? Like the comp g or gtp or gxp?

The rear sway bar is the same on all grand prix so yes, the rear sway bar will work on your GXP. The front however, will only fit through 03' unless you were to use control arms from an 03' model.

The strut tower braces and coilovers will also fit your GXP.

What suspension parts work with the grand prix gxp? You describe alot of things but do not specify if it will fit gxp models or not.

I am confused why you are confused? They both said the same thing?

The rear sway bar is the same on all grand prix so yes, the rear sway bar will work on your GXP. The front however, will only fit through 03' unless you were to use control arms from an 03' model.

The strut tower braces and coilovers will also fit your GXP.

You want:

Sway bars- Rear is the same. Front you would need to use 03 or earlier control arms.

Tower braces- Same on all cars.

Coilovers- Select 04+ GP when buying if you don't change the front control arms.

Let me make it easy for you. Any rear bar will work on your GXP. If you want to upgrade the front bar to a GMPP or Dorman you'll have to get the LCA's from a 98-03 GP IF yours still has the front bar that connects to the strut rather than the LCA. This is something you'll have to look under your car for. I don't remember if they changed it in 06 or 07 back to the LCA style sway bar. If you have the LCA style sway bar then you can run any struts and springs. if you have the strut connected sway bar on the front and don't want to change that then you need to run 04+ struts

ok, maybe i was not clear. i understand any rear sway will work and i need 04+ struts. but i asked at one point what the difference was between the sway bars on different models. everything i have read on this site says different. also the front tower brace for a 3.8 s/c will not fit a 5.3. i made the mistake of buying one for an 04 gtp. the alternator on the 5.3 is about 3 inches higher than the 3.8 s/c and the tower brace does not clear the alternator. i read somewhere on here that the rear sway bar on a compg is bigger than the gxp.

oh4compg
so i need to check to see if the sway bar up front connects to the strut or control arm? if it connects to the strut then i need 98-03 lca's? what if it connects to the lca?

97-03 GPs connects to the LCA's

ok so the sway bar connects to another really thin bar going up to the strut.

Its been a while since I recalled this info, but im pretty sure the GXPs sway bar doesn't connect to the LCA's
