• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

roll cage/ gutted interior

I want this so called subframe. How hard is it to take out and what needs to be taken off/supported. LINK ME!

Search on my Regal thread adn you'll find links to it.

It's support engine/trans via the top. Pop the balljoints, disconnect the rack from the subframe, unclip the abs wiring, 4 15mm nuts holding the engine and trans mounts to the subframe, 4 18mm bolts and it's down.

I think you said the same thing about my wire tuck

Hmm, I don't think I said that. Let me search and see.

I have 10 replies in that thread and all of them are positive and helpful, except for agreeing that the Comp Cams decals are tacky.

But go ahead and do it and surprise me.

Ok so Ive ripped most of the interior out and I'm think the interior will maybe be 50lbs lighter there's like nothing to anything I drove it tho and its pretty dam loud now dont even miss the speakers cause you wouldn't be able to hear anything but my conclusion is I'm going to have to cut a lot of metal out to get it down to 3000lbs

removed my carpet and it weighed almost 80 pounds as it was soaked w/ water
i def have a leak somewhere and the foam wont ever dry so it stays saturated
door panels have long been gone

The only thing in leaving is the dash front seats and center console I'm debating about the headliner so maybe with the carpet out I cut 120lbs Idk

Pics damn it and whos doing thec cage or can you get them somewhere? If you can get them Id be real interested for my coupe!

I'm either buying a kit or doing it all I still don't know what type of cage I'm getting from what I've found no one makes a cage specific for our cars not really a surprise lol
