OBAMA OR McCAIN?????

Well, I'm all for the right to conceil arms, but it doesn't do any good to have a weapon if you can't afford to put ammo in it when you need to... My point is that we need someone in office that is going to solve the big issues... Like the fact that we're going into recession, or already there.... Gun rights are important, but I need to be able to afford the gas to put in my car to get to work...

I see where your comming from but on the same note gun-rights are part of my lively-hood because I make money doing gunsmithing as well as my day job, hince the reason im all over that. Now you can see where im comming from on that.

it's the right to bear arms.....and yes we need it to stand.

let me start by thanking offroad for standing tall and fighting for our freedoms...good luck and may god be with you. for that matter let me give thanks to all military whom are on this forum....and every where around the world.

As for the pres....damned, we are. our options disgust me....but as for Obama being nothing more than a used car salesman...well that's what they said about clinton. and they were'nt lying because slick willy was a sidestepping truth evading individual...but with with him and Hillary in office we were'nt starving, I was paying off debt and creating a nice bulk of savings that since that f-n idiot george bush has been in office has simply dissolved...I am soon to face bankruptcy if things don't change....so yes we are in a recession and yes that good for nothing president is fully to blame, divertion of funds wasting of gains and simple mismanagement of the country our forefathers worked so hard to build is why....
he stole the election, he put us to war unjustly and he continues to f*** things up on a daily basis.... is it any wonder that we pay more for gas now than ever before and his family fortune was made and is continuasally growing from oil shares.... and yet the oil companies show record earnings....why??? because George Bush is a crook!!!!! a cokehead alcoholic loser!!!! and what I see with McCain is more of the same republican fill our own pockets b.s... it's time for a change!!!!!

I agree with a couple of the other posters about Obama. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. I was a huge McCain supporter in 2000, and although I don't agree with all of his positions now at least I know where he stands.

As for accusations that McCain is McBush, Bush III, etc, they're absolutely baseless. McCain's stood against the Republican party on several key issues (immigration, campaign finance, etc). He's worked closely with several key Democrats (including Lieberman and Kennedy). He's willing to work with both sides of the aisle to actually get something accomplished (unlike both the current administration and the current Democratic leaders in Congress). Of the two major candidates, only one will actually accomplish anything that he promises.

Bottom line: McCain has proven himself to be a man of honor and integrity. Obama has shown himself to be a sycophant who'll say anything to please anyone. Whom would you trust?

Cheating on your wife shows honor and integrity, huh? Not only that, 72 flip flops and counting...

Another favorite? Pres. Bush slammed Obama for saying he'd attack terrorists in Pakistan without getting the Pakistani government's permission:

Here's a conservative website attacking Obama for making his declaration:

Pardon My English: Conservative News & Opinion: Obama Bomba Pakistan? Is Hillary Clinton Right?

Guess what happened this year at the end of January? We made an attack in Pakistan without notifying the Pakistani government until we had already started:

Cafe Talk | Talking Points Memo | U.S. strikes within Pakistan — without notice- Obama - Ready (Day One) Since Last August

So did Pres. Bush and the Republicans step up and admit that Obama was right? Of course not. Because then they'd have to believe he was right!

Bottom line is, if I was going to vote. Which I'm not. I'd pick McCain over that piece of sh*t Obama. That dude is a utter joke, I can't see how so many people can support him.

...then again... once I think about the average intelligence of people I see on a daily basis...yeah I can. :th_shakinghead1:

thnx beastin, personally we need our "iraq" funds over here at the moment and focus on our country, thats why i'm for obama. speaking of witch, both are a piece of S&(* but coming down to it, I will vote, so im going with what my belief is best. Obama;s not going to keep alot of his promises but maybe, just maybe some good changes will come to this country.

First of all, being part of an SFOD for several years, I know that attacks happen all the time without government notification... This one just got out... Second of all, if you don't vote, you have absolutely no right to b*tch about the current situation in the US. And finally, no one in this forum knows everything about each candidate...They know what the press puts on the TV, in the papers, and on the net...

The biggest problem with the credibility of any politician is that it is usually formed around an anticipated reaction of the media... Intentions aren't usually malicious, they are perceived that way after it goes through the media filter and presented to the public. Unfortunately, the media controls much of how this nation is run and what information is given to the public...

ok, ok, I'm sick of hearing this bull about if you don't vote don't *****....I personally don't have faith in the voting system as it currently stands, yes I believe it can be rigged...hello....Bush??? and I think the we need to revamp the whole system...and until this happens my vote will not be cast!!!!
I say if 30% of your weekly earnings gets robbed from you every week in the form of taxes....then hell yes you got the right to ***** about the state of the country in which your dollars go to support....what about property taxes on your home??? I pay almost 4k a year just for that, and you say i can't ***** cause I don't vote????
WELL....YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!

I don't like McCain or Obama. If I had to vote today, I would vote for McCain. I believe Obama is saying what is popular in a sense that he'll say whatever is necessary to get the majority of the vote. I know what McCain will more than likely do in office, so I'm not to worried about his change. Everybody thinks change is good, don't forget change can be for the worse.

I preferred Huckabee which is who I voted for, because I felt he was genuine and actually cared about the people. He wasn't shooting for what was popular, he actually stood by what he believed in. I also liked his consumption tax which makes a lot of sense. I am also pro life and do understand why some people support pro-choice. I understand their are certain reasons why some would want an abortion (rape, ect). What I do not support at all is partial birth abortion. If any of you have ever seen the videos on how they do this, you would understand why.

jj91284 that is well said...nice almost wanted me to change my vote but as i said before its a choice thing, u never know what these canidates is really going to do until theire in office, mccain is probably telling it the way he will run but ppl dont want to hear that, therefore obama speaks to people. also i said before i kno obama isant going to keep his promises but im hoping for a few changes that he may get the congress to bypass. i hope this damn fool will do something. i just read the in the paper, the biggest factory in the fayetteville,nc area has been laid off for 2weeks due to production (goodyear tire). thats sad to see that many people hurt for two weeks. then they offered for them to use the vacation time during this...WTF who the hell wants to take up their vacation due to their problems....of course they could go thru the long process of drawing unemployement but people need their weekly based checks for this is how we budgit ourselfs.

Whose doing ur taxes?? I live in Oklahoma so I don't see those kind of taxes... My taxes were only $650 a year.... And my buddies taxes were only $1300 and he has a $200k+ house... And only about 20% of my check comes out and I get most of it back...

shoot well im 20yrs old, no wifey and no dependents, my g/f says they dont even hit her hard and she's 18. 3-4 grand of it came from a military bonus tax, they still hit me really hard in taxes though, im not sure what NC's law is on the tax but yeah i'd say about 25% of mine is taxed.

but mccain...another republican...man I just don't know, i don't like our options and i don't see things changing for the better anytime soon....
