Going to install it tomorrow so need help.

Heres a pic its that small hose connected to the right of the MAF there in the Pic

Hmmm, i friend of mine suggested a 3" pcv coupler, could that work and what to use to tighten it? is tape too weak?

Your car is a CA car, so its special and HAS to meet certain emission standards that his does not.

And I drawed you a cool pic of my awesome idea.

Stupied Ca standards, well thats Cali for ya. Very nice artistic skills, and yes i had something similar to that in my head and i think i just might do that. Thanks and it is a "Kewl Idea" indeed, how do you suppose we tighten it with?

Id fine some hose clamps or something along those lines to make the coupler to the maf work and to the filter.

ANd then maybe cut the hole in the rubber coupler for the air pump hose and use some rubber cement to glue a smaller rubber piece to it and slide the air pump hose over and clamp it. Im not sure if it would work, but its a idea that might work.

I think it may work like that OR we could take the hose threw the hole and tape it or something, got any other Kewl ideas? lol ill be back in like a hour to this thread. Thanks for the help btw

You can just get a small fiter and clamp it on the hose. F body guys do it all the time.

I think i might just do that, that OR put on a pcv coupler, either way we will figure it out. if got any ?s i let you guys know and thanks for help.

Or you chould just zip tie the hose somewhere. It just pumps air into the exhaust for like 5 seconds at startup. It's literally useless

Re: Spectre cone filter install help UPDATED FILTER INSTALLED

I got it installed finally!!! Got a pcv coupler and a pipe and hooked them together to fit the MAF and the pipe thing came with a small third hole and a little u bend pipe to connect the stupid hose for the stupid cali emissions and connected the other side to the filter. now the filter touches a little part of the roof and is at the back behind the headlight that has a hole there. we used zip tie to hold it still and up on the bar there and zip tied the pcm down too. it now makes a rumble noise now that sounds cool like a muscle car sound, is that good?

EDIT: the zip tie there that is clamping the maf to the pipe there is gone and we put acutal clamps there since it came off when we looked at when we came back from driving. so now it should be stuck on good (we use the same clamp thats clamping the filter there the silver one).
