Low maintenance mods.

I'm using this thing as a daily driver and the last thing I want is for something to break because of a mod I put on the poor thing...

SO, what would be the most simple, low maintenance mod that one could do if they intend to continue using the GP as a daily driver??
 


Most mods shouldn't require much if any maintence unless your talking an IC or something along those lines and thats easy too. I use straight distilled water spring, summer, fall and I use 50/50 coolant and water in the winter. Nothing to it really.

Copper plugs require more changes than platnium but there worth it performance wise.

nah its not. Try installing a set on some SBCs and Mopars, you'll be thankful you're installing a set on a 3800.

My TOGs went in flawless, no relocation of anything, no denting in primaries for various reason, etc. Only mod was the tranny dipstick tube...
 


I've helped plenty of other people with their cars and I can back up Iron Indian that the W-body (especially the 3800) is pretty easy to work on in comparison. Very few stupidly placed items or bolts.

I'm eager for the Camaro to come out so I can see how easy it will be to work on (probably not very easy, but with challenge comes experience). :cool:
 
there not all that bad. yea it does take a little bit of time and you gotta get a little dirty but nothing major. now wait till you break bolts, have to drill them out. get the stock manifolds off, just to see that they new headers wont fit. boy was i heated. pacesetters are a tight fit on 04+

So, you finally got them on? How does the power difference feel?
 
no that was when i tried to put them on last time :( ill let you know how it feels when i get them on tho. plan on doing it soon
 
they were pushed up against the radiator fans. will at overkill told me to get some offset motor mounts and turn them backwards. that would give me the clearence i need. i think the cradle is in the way if you try to go from the bottom. it slides in good. just wont bolt up..
 


problew. i used the gaskets that came with them. they were way to big and kinda ****ty. its close with the original GM gaskets but i dident want to chance it again and figured i would wait till i knew they would fit no problem. plus under accelaration i dont want them to scrub either
 
plus if not. my big brother will slap me upside the head and call me a dumb ass. :) cause he knows hes gonna be the one to have to help me fix it
