Quick WOT question

So i was coming home one night, decided to go fast on the highway. got up to 115mph then let off. I told my friends dad this and he said its good for the car to go WOT and basically top speed every so often, because it cleans the engine out a bit (maybe carbon build up, idk) is this true? just a simple question.

reaching top speed dont make a difference.

going wot every now and then does clean the carbon out. Tho if you drive with a slight heavy foot, carbon build up will likely never happen.

so i take it going WOT now and then is fine. I don't have a heavy foot, i baby my car. i drive like a grandma most of the time.

Every now and then is fine. All the time is beating on it. So every now and then a little WOT is ok. Might actually even be good for it.

Yeah thats what i mean, every so often WOT. im scared to go fast, got 3 speeding tickets in a 6 month stretch

and apparently yields better results.

30 wot rolls in mine doesn't pull as hard as it does from 0.

That reminds me, What about the axle shafts in FWD cars?

If your pulling from a dead stop, it's horrible for them isn't it? Is it better to pull from, say, a 30 mph roll, or is replacing them just something I half to live with?

oh they'll be just fine. high power 3800 fwd applications use stock shafts even at the track time after time. they'll be aite.

if you having to replace them often, your doing something wrong.

At a stock-ish power level snapping cv's is pretty hard.

I haven't replaced them.

But I have had more than one FWD car. I also have replaced more than one cv shaft, lol.

From my experience some CV's aren't as strong as they should be, I was wondering if GP's had the same problem.

Puh-Lease.

What do you think these cars are? Hondas with no torque?
