2001 GTP Supercharged what can I use

Hello guys I was in the local pull a part and found a 2001 3.8 supercharged GTP. I have 1997 Grand Prix GT N/A what on that engine (aside from the supercharger) can I direct swap to mine that is better than the stock parts I have? I mean is the cam better, Throttle body? Sway bars solid or bigger? What can I use. Also I do not want to supercharge mine but I can get the supercharger for $60.00 can I sell that easy enough on the forum as is and maybe double my money plus shipping? Car was junked because is it is locked up and can not be started. Going to yard on weds. Any help will be appreciated.

only thing that is somewhat identical is the TB, crank, cam valvecovers and exhaust. everything else is different but not necceasarly any better. not sure of suspension.

So no point swapping stuff then huh I was looking for some kind of improvement over what I got.

Thanks

Don't want to supercharge mine its got $300,000 miles on it I can see that being too much stress on it plus I am getting 28 mpg right now which I like, but thanks anyway for the thoughts

You really should read the top swap thread.

TB's are different, VC's are different.

crank, cam, and exhaust are the same.

If you want to talk differences, heads, cam gear, balance shaft, flex plate, LIM, UIM (supercharger), MAP, injectors.

Suspension is all worn thus basically the same or worse.

Your transmission will not take to additional power. Leave it stock.

or....pull the trans, supercharger, lim, heads, HB,fuel rail, TB and then supercharge the 97 :)

See above.

Especially the transmission.

n/a heads are different from s/c heads, you need the matching vc for the heads, the injectors for the l67 are in the head, not the manifold like the n/a motor.

Great thoughts guys but yeah I will not be super charging mine at all just wondering if it would be hard to sell the super charger if I took it. Also just wondering if any real gas mileage or performance gains can be had from any parts I could pull and easily swap over. But never though about the extra power straining the trans. So porting my throttle body and stuff like that would not be advisable either I assume? I am the original owner and car has been well maintained if that helps. Any other parts I could sell easy worth taking? Like I could get the super charger for $60.00 and heads for $30.00 each? I am going to check that top swap link now and I will definitely pull the radiator

Thanks appreciate the help

well...the trans is a whole other argument. im going to refer you to this thread and you can decide for yourself. remember, read the whold thread including the 2 links i posted.

i plan on supercharging my 97 with the same trans you have...not nearly that kind of milage though.
and switching the radiator really wouldnt give you any gains. but if you want it, do it and dont let us tell you not to.

oh I know the radiator will not net any gains but figure if I can get it to run even a bit cooler it could not hurt, plus since its the original radiator with that many miles on it how much longer before it fails. It should be a quick and easy swap with no mods needed if I figure right
