the problem is tires or struts??

ok ive been working on the numerous little issues that this car has.first the tires all seem to be fairly used,i had to replace the front passenger tire immediately because it had a thick cut into the sidewall(you could see the threads)the replacement was a very used tire,well worn.in fact all the tires appear to be different brands and treads.today the check tire pressure came on so i stopped to get air.the front tires had like 36 in them,the two back ones had about 25.i think i read that the tire pressure should be around 30-34.if thats the case the front ones were over inflated and the back ones way underinflated.to add i tried to add air to the back tires,one was impossible to put air into,it was like the air stem was defective.the other tire had no problem.also to add i went earlier in the week i went to get an alignment because i had replaced the tie rods.the shop could not align totally and determined the front tires were so different and worn.now the other thing is the struts.i wanted to replace them because the car has 210k miles and looks like struts were never replaced.mechanic friend showed me that with good struts when you push down on car,should bounce 1 and half times,mine kinda one bounced and settled.plus the shop had also said that the back strut was leaking some.ok so here is my main problem i really need to replace those tires with some good new ones,but ive been told with old or bad struts it will just damage the tires and that by the time i get the struts i will have to replace the tires again.my cash flow is soooo limited at the moment.any thoughts or suggestions?
 


Ok seriously. Capital letters at the beginning of sentences, spaces after periods, and paragraphs would make that thousands times easier to read.
 
Thank you for the lesson on correct grammatical punctuation stealthee.Not much help with my tire and struts question.Nixon will the tires get damaged as a result of the old,worn struts?Or do i have some time?
 
You do realize that tires are what holds you to the road, right? I mean besides gravity...

Good tires with correct pressures and good suspension components will realize a good aligmnent and correct tire wear, which translates to maximum stability while on the road.

Bad struts will bounce the car like it's made of jelly.
Good struts, the car will stay put or bounce quite minimally.
 


tires>all. Even if you can't replace the struts right now, you can't keep rolling on those crap tires. If it blows while you're on the interstate...it's just not good. I drive at high speeds therefore i make sure my tires are always wearing correctly etc.

Just get you a decent set of tires and save for struts. I had blown struts on my last prix and if you hit a dip it was just bouncyfloatbouncyfloat.
Sure, the blown struts WILL wear the tires quickly. But not THAT quickly, so try not to fret. But on that same token, don't buy the best of the best tires lol and waste your monies.

Buy the best tires you can afford. -- You'd do it for your own shoes.
 
I'm just saying, I would buy a decent set of tires but i wouldn't go out and waste $500-800 on tires. Get a good solid brand of all seasons not the strongest of the strongest performance tires. Save that for a later time. He needs something with a good tread rating and good reputation.

I'm not saying buy some crappy used tires. BUY NEW. Just don't waste your money on some really expensive performance tires. Get you a nice set of all seasons with good ratings and good reputation.
 
Well of course, if he drives a SE or GT, he's not gonna need Bridgestone Potenza RE760 or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's.

The tire is important though.

Turanza Serenity's can be had affordably and are a great and grippy high mile touring tire for example.

There is no point in buying super high performance tires even for a GTP. And there is no point in buying Z rated tires for one either.

Buy something with decent treadwear rating and all season tread.

Traction mean anything? Because i couldn't get traction worth a damn 0-30 WOT most of the time even on All Season Pilot Sports.

My new Bridgestone Potenza RE970 A/S grip very well from a dig without complaining.
