Heater stopped working

So yeah...it's starting to get close to freezing here in MD at when I leave for work at 6am in dress clothes for work, I'm freezing my ass off.

I switch tstats for Summer (180*) and Winter (195*), and I just switched Friday to my Winter one. I did the usual purge of the air (opening the valve on the tstat housing while the car was warm and circulating coolant. The car now has a visibly higher temperature, per the stock gauge, but the air blows super cold (outside temp, I'm assuming). This isthe same for if the A/C is on or off. Also, it blows SUPER cold if I turn the A/C on cold. I don't have coolant in my interior, so I don't think my heater core is cracked or leaking. Do they just go bad and stop heating? Could it be clogged with crap from 11+ years? Is there a way to clean it out without ripping my dash apart? Is there a write-up for replacing a heater core?

it could be clogged and you can unclogg it by taking the hoses off the heater core at the fire wall and then taking a hose and blasting water through it in both directions till you get an evenly fast flow coming out both sides.

To add to this, if water does come flowing out when you spray it with a hose, you may want to take of the actual hose that goes to the heater core and make sure they are not clogged at all also

Or, your blend door is stuck and not switching over to heat properly. Check the actuators for vacuum and see if they are still working or not.
