Damnit, I came in here hoping to read about a Mustang KILL story, but I got this lame story instead....fail.

Yes but the V6 Camaro > V6 Mustang. That ford V6 was not a very good engine.
 
I don't have a problem with mustangs or most imports. My problem is the driver that spends $200 on intake and exhaust and thinks he has an 8 second car in the 1\4. That's what causes my street hate.

While I agree with you, the V6 versions of these cars played a big part in their success. So while I would prefer not to own one myself, I do appreciate their existence some what.

And I may be wrong, but if pontiac had intended on keeping the GTO in their line up, I'm sure they would have contemplated adding a V6 model to supplement sales.

And lets be honest, most GP's sound like sh*t. So to have a GP owner say a mustang sounded horrible...well I just have to assume he is talking about a V6. One thing ford V8 modular motors do well is sound good.

One of my tenants has a 95 style 3.8 mustang, its straight piped, just single not dual exhaust, and even this sounds better then my dual exhaust 3800...they might not be fast but they can make those v6's sound decent.
just for fun
my exhaust(afterr seafoam) no resonator/ubend. catback from 5.3l impala SS (yes i know there is a rattle....and RASP)

Brother 05 G.T Thrush mufflers, cai,tune.
 
all v6's sound like crap, only six that sounds decent are the inlines.

only thing i dont like about my truck is that it sounds like a v6
